BOTANICAL NAME

Intsia palembanica, bijuga

DESCRIPTION

Heartwood may be bright yellow when first cut but becomes pale to dark reddish brown. Sapwood to 80 mm wide, pale yellow and usually distinct from the heartwood. Texture moderately coarse but even with the grain sometimes slightly interlocked, producing a ribbon figure on the radial surface.
